Take a walk down mammary lane to the early ’90s: Zoryna Dreams (a favorite of Howard Stern back then) is at the far left, while the wonderful Wendy Whoppers is second from right. (Unfortunately, I don’t know who the other two busty bombshells are.)
In the early 1990s, a group of big-busted, usually-blonde haired strippers with gimmicky stage-names alluding to their enormous, silicone-enhanced chests were rapidly making a mark in the world of erotica, especially in the New York City exotic dancing industry. With comical monikers like Wendy Whoppers, Pandora Peaks, Busty Dusty, Letha Weapons, Nikki Knockers, Kayla Kleevage, Tiffany Towers, and Plenty Uptopp (among others), these well-endowed women would regularly be featured as main attractions at such legendary NYC strip clubs as GoldFingers and Runway 69. As if the allure of enormous female breasts wasn’t enough to pull in big crowds, advertisements in newspapers like the NY Daily News and appearances by some of these voluptuous vixens on the infamous Manhattan late-night cable program The Robin Byrd Show guaranteed that the clubs would be packed whenever their monstrous melons invaded the Big Apple.

These pseudo-celebrity strippers also guested on such “mainstream” ’90s TV fare as The Richard Bey Show and the 1990-1992 Howard Stern Show, both of which aired locally in New York on WOR Channel 9. Needless to say, their giant jugs were ratings magnets, and as a result of all of the publicity, these mammoths in the world of memorable mammaries would command higher wages and draw larger crowds at the strip clubs to watch them expose their funbags than even that of the popular porn stars of the time.

Some of these buxom beauties would attempt to parlay their popularity into making porn movies themselves. Letha Weapons, Lisa Lipps, Alyssa Alps, the raven-haired Zoryna Dreams, and the sultry Asian temptress Minka had decent runs as adult film stars, but their real bread and butter remained feature-dancing at strip clubs, aided by the brilliant marketing of their sexually suggestive, deliberately ridiculous names.

Sadly, their run at the top did not last long. By the late ’90s, these strippers with the Godzilla-sized gozambas and the funny names were no longer such a big deal at Gotham’s gentlemen’s clubs. As these women got older (and heavier) and local TV shows like those of Byrd, Bey, and Stern stopped being produced, it became harder for these hooterlicious hotties to remain in the New York City limelight. Most damaging of all to their ability to stay relevant was the fact that whereas breast augmentations in the early ’90s were rare and eye-catching, boob jobs among female adult entertainers were commonplace by the end of the decade, and as a result, the appeal and novelty of oversized fake tits were gone.

As the second decade since the glory days of exotic dancers that flaunted their humongous Knockers, Whoppers, and Towers has just started, I think that this is the right time to pay our respects to an unsung yet important facet of pre-Giuliani New York City smut.
